Biography

Zsolt Alapi was born in Budapest, Hungary, lived in the United States, and came to Canada in 1971 as a draft resistor during the Vietnam War. He completed a PhD at McGill University and taught English and Humanities at Marianopolis College and Concordia University for 35 years. He also ran his own micropress, Siren Song Publishing, for 8 years and edited over 7 books and anthologies, including the literary magazine, The Loose Canon. Zsolt is also a critic whose reviews and articles have appeared in a wide range of journals in both North America and Europe. His short fiction and poems have appeared in many journals in Canada, the U.S., the UK, and France. Zsolt lives and writes in Montreal.
