BIO
Biography

Jane Shi is a queer Chinese settler living on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations. She is a collective member of Room Magazine and sits on the board of Canthius. Her writing has appeared in Disability Visibility Blog, Briarpatch MagazineThe Fiddlehead, PRISM International, CV2 Magazine, among others, and is forthcoming in Queer Little Nightmares: An Anthology of Monstrous Fiction and Poetry (Arsenal Pulp Press). She was shortlisted for The Malahat Review's 2022 Open Season Award for Creative Non-Fiction. Jane is an alumni of Tin House Summer Workshop 2021 and The Writer's Studio - Online at Simon Fraser University. She is the author of the chapbook Leaving Chang'e on Read (Rahila's Ghost Press, 2022).
