
R.J. (Rebecca) Anderson was writing stories at eight, started her first novel at twelve, and is now the author of ten published fantasy novels for older children and teens including KNIFE (Hachette UK Canada, 2009), the tale of a fierce young faery who fights to save her dying people while concealing her forbidden friendship with a human, and the Andre Norton award-shortlisted teen thriller ULTRAVIOLET (Carolrhoda Lab, 2011). Her Silver Birch Award-nominated, CLA Top Ten and OLA Best Bets selection A POCKET FULL OF MURDER (Simon & Schuster, 2015) is a magical mystery set in an alternate version of 1930's Toronto, where twelve-year-old Isaveth sets out to solve the murder of one of the town's leading citizens and prove her beloved papa's innocence. The adventure continued in A LITTLE TASTE OF POISON (Sept. 2016), also a CLA Top Ten pick for 2017. Her most recent publication is a YA fantasy trilogy inspired by Cornish folklore and consisting of SWIFT, NOMAD, and TORCH (Feb. 2021)
