Sarah Emsley’s books include Jane Austen’s Philosophy of the Virtues (Palgrave, 2005) and a critical edition of Edith Wharton’s novel The Custom of the Country (Broadview, 2008). After receiving her PhD from Dalhousie University, she held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Rothermere American Institute, University of Oxford and then taught for a few years in the Writing Program at Harvard University. She lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and she’s currently working on a novel.
