Alice Switocz Goldbloom
BIO
Biography

Alice Switocz Goldbloom straddles two worlds – the Polish immigrant family she was raised in and the Jewish one she married into – which has shaped her writing and understanding of identity, memory, and belonging. She lives in Montreal with her husband, where they raised their two children, both adopted from Poland.

Alice serves on the board of the Quebec Writers' Federation. Her creative nonfiction essays have appeared in newspapers and literary magazines, and she maintains a Substack, A Considerable Age, where she publishes personal essays. She's a good cook and enjoys the Stratford Festival, travel, and the roses that bloom outside her kitchen window. Above all, she loves listening to people's stories.

Family Secrets is her first book.
