The Writers' Union of Canada offers funding to hosts for authors to read in public venues across Canada through various programs. To be eligible for funding, authors must be members of The Writers' Union of Canada. Please refer to the Member Directory to browse or search for members.

National Public Readings Program

The Union’s National Public Reading Program (funded by the Canada Council for the Arts) provides funding for author appearances at events across Canada. This funding provides opportunities for writers and readers to connect while providing an honouraium to the author for their time.
