The Union's Mentorship Microgrants are designed to support a strong, sustainable writing community while providing direct financial and professional assistance to members. This program assists writers in improving their own income-earning opportunities by developing craft and business skills. Microgrants provide payment to mentor another writer; or allow you to pay another writer for mentoring. Applicants must be members of the Union.
Approved applicants will each receive a $500 grant, which can be used to:

Provide you with payment to mentor another writer, or

Allow you to pay another writer for mentoring.
HOW TO APPLY

Applications are currently closed. Application results are provided within 4 weeks of the application deadline. The Union notifies applicants by email. Applications and reports must be submitted online. Hard copies will not be considered.
Funding periods: Applications typically open in the Fall. Applications received usually exceed available funding and it may not be possible to fund all applications.
