Charmaine Arjoonlal (aka Charmaine Traynor-Ruitenberg) is a first generation South Asian/Portuguese Canadian author and social worker who lives with her husband and two rescue dogs in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. She’s grateful to reside on the Traditional Territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council. When she’s not squeezing in writing, she enjoys hanging out in coffee shops, biking and swimming in cold lakes. Recent work has appeared in ANMLY, The Rumpus, Reckon Review, Dark Horses/Mobius Blvd, Field Guide Poetry Magazine and elsewhere.
