Biography

Jamal Saeed is a Syrian writer who, along with his family, escaped his country's ongoing conflict and emigrated to Canada in December 2016. The Suns' Crazy Girls, his first collection of Shorte stories was published in Arabic in  1993.  Co-author of Yara’s Spring, Annick Press, 2020, he's also signed a contract with ECW to publish his autobiography, My Road from Damascus. Jamal lives and works in Kingston, Ontario.
