Jillian is a writer and editor based on Vancouver Island. Her work has appeared in the Toronto Journal, the Fish Prize anthologies, the Bristol Short Story Prize anthology, subTERRAIN Magazine, Mystery Magazine, Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine and Writer'sDigest.com and is forthcoming in Ellery Queen. She's been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize, the Exeter Short Story Prize, the Writer's Union of Canada Short Prose Competition, the PRISM International Creative Non-fiction Contest and the Tilden Canadian Literary Awards (Saturday Night Magazine and CBC Radio). She won the 2025 Exeter Writers Short Story Competition. 

As an academic editor, Jillian has edited books for various academic presses and authors across Canada, the US and Europe. She is currently the senior policy analyst in the provincial legislative drafting office in Victoria, BC.
