Born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan, now living in Victoria, BC, Leanne Marie Jones works as a private investigator in her firm "Secrets' Investigations." She is the mother of three grown children, and was previously a primary-school teacher, governess in Japan, librarian in Germany, and student of writing in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She designed a "Writing Books for Children" course for Victoria University, interviewed courthouse characters for CHEK-TV, and taught writing at Wilkinson Prison. She also wrote up criminal trials for BC Report, and Western Report newsmagazines. Leanne would like to give readings of her recent book "It's Cool to be Clever" published by Agio publishing house. Her book also has an app. for the iPad with narration of the story by Edson C. Hendricks, the genius who invented the design for the early stage of the Internet. This app may be downloaded from the app store as "Cool Clever app." She would like to give free presentations to schools or groups in the form of the app story being projected like a movie onto a large screen. The app presentation includes, the back story about Edson C. Hendricks, original piano compositions by Leanne, a section about gifted minds and other topics. Many of the school children have expressed interest as well in the bullying aspect of the story, and enjoy discussing inventions of their own. Please contact the e-mail address and telephone number as shown.
