2013 Winner of the Writer’s Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Fresh Fish Award (for an unpublished manuscript of short fiction)

2012 Residency at Banff writing studio, working with Shyam Salvaduri

2009 Shortlisted (10 out of 1400 entries) for the CBC Literary Awards

2004 First Place Winner, short fiction, Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters Competition (“Purity Sweets”), also a winner for poetry(2001)

2003 Two poems published in Backyards of Heaven: An Anthology of Contemporary Poetry from Ireland and Newfoundland & Labrador, ed. Stephanie McKenzie (Scop)

I've also written several short films, been a Production Assistant, and have taken intro filmmaking courses.
