Philipp Schott was born in Germany and grew up in Saskatoon. He now lives in Winnipeg where he practises veterinary medicine, writes, and shares a creaky old house on the river with his wife, two teenagers, three cats, and a dog.
His first book, a collection of essays titled The Accidental Veterinarian, was a best seller and was translated into four languages. His first novel, The Willow Wren, was published by ECW Press in March 2021, and How to Examine a Wolverine, a sequel to The Accidental Veterinarian, will be released in September 2021.
