BIO
Biography

Barbara Baker grew up in Banff, Alberta and spends her free time racing up and down the Rockies to keep up with an active family of outdoor enthusiasts. The highlights of her writing experience include: Carousel Pictures made a film of her Globe and Mail essay, Life Support, which played in the Toronto International Film Festival (fall 2019). She received the John Kenneth Galbraith Literary Award in 2016. Many of her short stories are published in Our Canada magazine, Prairie Fire, The Globe and Mail, Chicken Soup, and numerous anthologies. Her first YA fiction novel, Summer of Lies, was published February 2021 by BWL Publishing.
