Biography

Tekeyla Friday is a Métis Claymation and Stop Motion Animation artist and author. She has written from the moment she could hold a pen. She has three diplomas in writing for children and teens through the Institute of Children’s Literature, a copy-editing certificate through Southeast College, and a book publishing certificate through International Association of Professions Career College.

Tekeyla’s first piece of writing Kadin and the Dragon was published in R.E.A.L. Canadian Kids Magazine in 2010 and Princess Butterfly, also published by R.E.A.L. Canadian Kids Magazine in 2011. She published her own book, “Prince Prickly Spine.” Through Tekeyla Friday Studios publishing. She loves writing fantasy and fairy-tale adventure books.
