My YA book, Iz the Apocalypse, is coming out in September 2023 from Common Deer Press. When fourteen-year-old foster kid Iz Beaufort fakes her way into a prestigious music school, she must keep her school life and foster life separate or she'll be kicked out of both school and her current foster home. But a chance to pursue music—to have a voice—might be worth risking everything. 

This novel explores Iz’s journey through the lens of Schubert’s song cycle Winterreise.
