Write Around the World with Amherst Writers & Artists
Workshop or Retreat
Event: Jan 31, 2025 | 22:00 PM (EST)
| Virtual
Amherst Writers invites you to attend an online writing session this February. Writing groups are offered every day, at a variety of times, online, during our annual Write Around the World fundraiser.
Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA), is a non-profit organization whose mission, through writing workshops and training leaders in the AWA Method of facilitating workshops, is:
- to free silenced and marginalized voices,
- to support the voices of established and emerging writers, and
- to promote respect for the artist in all writers.
These workshops are for you if:
- you want to learn what’s unique and valuable about your writing voice,
- you’ve been writing but get stuck sometimes or find yourself procrastinating,
- or you find it helpful to write in the supportive presence of other writers.
We’re sharing this opportunity because we know how important it is for our stories to be told and heard. The AWA method has a 35-year history of success in helping people express themselves and claim writing as their art. (You can read testimonials about the workshops here from previous attendees.)
If you’re interested in trying a workshop, check out the calendar. When you write with an AWA leader, you get feedback about what is strong and powerful in your writing.
