Biography

Marion Crook has had a long career in writing. She wrote Young Adult and Middle Grade novels as well as non-fiction around issues such as adoption (Thicker Than Blood Arsenal Pulp, The Face in the Mirror Arsenal Pulp), Suicide (Out of the Darkness Arsenal Pulp). Recently she has written The British Book Tour Mysteries under the pen name of Emma Dakin Hazards in Hampshire, Crime in Cornwall, Perils in Yorkshire and Danger in Edinburgh.

Her memoir of her early life as a pubic health nurse Always Pack a Candle A Nurse in the Cariboo -Chilcotin immediately hit the BC Bestsellers list and won the 2022 Lieutenant-Governor's Community History Award. 

She lives in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.
