BIO
Biography

Alicia Carbo-Guha is a children’s author-illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. She is the creator of the Adventures with Buku series—fun, engaging stories that encourage critical thinking and spark meaningful conversations about nature, fairness, kindness, and inclusion. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Alicia began publishing children’s books in Catalan in the 1990s. Her debut title, Buku i la Natura (Buku and Nature), was recognized by Barcelona’s TV3 as one of the year’s five best children’s books. Originally published in Catalan, she later translated and published the book in English and Spanish. That early story went on to inspire Saving Nature, the first title in Adventures with Buku.
