Biography

Anuradha Rao is a conservation biologist, writer and facilitator born and raised in the traditional territories of the Anishinabewaki, Attiwonderonk and Haudenosaunee Nations and currently based in unceded Coast Salish Territories. She has worked on research, conservation and restoration projects with communities and organizations in Canada and internationally. Her worldview and approach to science are heavily influenced by teachings from her Indiam culture and from Indigenous knowledge holders. Her happy place is to walk off a beach and snorkel among the creatures of the sea.
