Marilyn McCrimmon was a secondary/post-secondary counsellor in Victoria, B.C. for more than 30 years, and has been a freelance writer for more than 40 years. She has published countless feature articles on a wide variety of topics (fitness, health, sport, profiles, travel, etc.) in various magazines. She wrote a weekly (which evolved to monthly) newspaper column on horses for the Times/Colonist Newspaper for 35 years, and wrote a monthly fitness/health column for Focus on Women Magazine for 15 years. In addition, she has published two books: Custodian of Yellow Point - A Biography of Gerry Hill (Beach Holme Publishers, 1991) and Facing Changes, Finding Freedom - Canadian Women at Midlife (co-authored with Rosemary Neering, Whitecap Books, 1996). Today, she is retired from counselling, but continues to write advertorial and feature articles for various magazines. Marilyn has also completed a novel and is currently seeking an agent.
