Biography

C.J. Hong is the author of the interactive picture book, Greetings, Floof!, which has been listed as a 2024 Bookshop.org's Best of Picture Books. As her passion beyond writing is promoting literacy, she loves volunteering at an elementary school to read with children. In her spare time, she practices Kung Fu Fan, dances, and spends time with family and friends. She is a member of the Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers; the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators; and the Canadian Children's Book Centre.

GREETINGS!

How do people around the world say, "hello"? How would you welcome a new student to your class? An interactive discussion on various greetings will segue into a reading of Greetings, Floof!, where children will welcome and assist a fluffy alien on his visit to Earth. The presentation will end with a Q&A session. (Grades SK-2)

 

Presentation Fee(s)
Rates: $150 for 30 mins. based on the TWUC recommended fee of $300/hr; includes travel costs for locations within a 25 km radius of downtown Ottawa. For locations between a 25-50 km radius from downtown Ottawa, an additional $25 fee will apply.
