David Yerex Williamson is a university instructor and poet living on Treaty 5 territory in Norway House, Manitoba, on the bank of the historic Nelson River. His work has appeared in The Dalhousie Review, Prairie, Fire, Contemporary Verse 2, Aesthetica, The New Quarterly and other publications. His first collection, Through Disassembled Houses of Perfect Stones, was published by At Bay Press in 2022 and nominated for a 2023 Manitoba Book Award. When not writing or drawing, David shovels snow, cuts wood, cooks and chases his dogs along the waterfront.
