Public Speaking and Presentation Skills (Grades 9–12)
Led by author, speaker, and coach Fatima Gould, this engaging workshop develops the confidence and communication skills students need for academic and career success. Drawing on oral storytelling traditions, the program includes interactive exercises such as icebreaker speeches, impromptu speaking practice, and techniques for using body language and vocal variety. By the end of the session, students will be better equipped to present themselves in job interviews, university and college admissions, and volunteer opportunities, gaining transferable skills that will serve them in school and beyond.
Storytelling Through the Senses (Grades 7–12)
This hands-on workshop helps students uncover personal stories and express them with clarity and confidence. Guided by author, speaker, and coach Fatima Gould, participants use sensory prompts—taste, touch, sight, sound, and scent—to spark memories, inspire creativity, and strengthen self-expression.
Students will learn how to shape their reflections into short stories, explore the structure of effective storytelling, and practice sharing their work in a supportive environment. Activities include memory mapping, guided writing, and optional oral presentations that build public speaking skills.
By the end of the workshop, students will have completed a memory map, a draft story based on their own experiences, and acquired communication tools that can be applied in both academic and real-world settings.
The Effects of Social Media on Mental Health (Grades 7–12)
This interactive workshop enables students to explore the impact of social media on their self-esteem, focus, and overall well-being. Led by author, speaker, and coach Fatima Gould, the session encourages critical thinking about how online habits affect daily life, relationships, and mental health.
Through group discussions, reflection exercises, and team challenges, students examine issues such as social comparison, cyberbullying, online addiction, and sleep disruption. They also learn practical strategies for setting healthy boundaries, reducing screen time, and using social media more mindfully.
By the end of the workshop, students will leave with greater awareness of their digital habits, tools for managing stress and online pressures, and practical steps to create a healthier balance between their online and offline lives.
