Storytelling Through the Senses (Grades 7–12)

This hands-on workshop helps students uncover personal stories and express them with clarity and confidence. Guided by author, speaker, and coach Fatima Gould, participants use sensory prompts—taste, touch, sight, sound, and scent—to spark memories, inspire creativity, and strengthen self-expression.

Students will learn how to shape their reflections into short stories, explore the structure of effective storytelling, and practice sharing their work in a supportive environment. Activities include memory mapping, guided writing, and optional oral presentations that build public speaking skills.

By the end of the workshop, students will have completed a memory map, a draft story based on their own experiences, and acquired communication tools that can be applied in both academic and real-world settings.
