How to Write a Short Screenplay for Absolute Beginners.  In 60 minutes, I will guide the group through all the stages of writing a short screenplay, with an emphasis on story structure and formatting.

Using a simple joke I demonstrate the three act structure, showing how even a simple joke is a small story, how it has a beginning, a middle, and an end; or, to put it in other terms. an Inciting Incident or Set Up, a Development or Confrontation, and a Resolution or Pay Off.  With the use of a free screenwriting app, students collaborate on turning an idea into a professionally formatted screenplay.
