Mindfulness Workshop
How we see ourselves, and the world around us, creates the foundation of our lives. Put simply, Mindfulness, or being fully present with our real authentic self, and awareness of our surroundings, is both a practice and a way of relating to life. Research has shown children who develop mindfulness skills experience less stress and frustration, more contentment and happiness, increased attention span, and healthy brain function by learning how to respond to life's transitions in a more calm, positive way. Rooted in educational research, mindfulness benefits children by encouraging them to notice their feelings without immediate reaction, and helps us to enjoy and celebrate all of life’s blessings with gratitude for everything big and small. Correspondingly, it is the foundation for some of life’s most important lessons, and one of the most overlooked superpowers we have as human beings.
Told through the wise, loving, insightful eyes of Cher, a friend to all, and a real working dog who lives on Vancouver Island, this workshop is timeless, and perfect for these uncertain times.
