Judith Lapadat, a Canadian writer, artist, and professor emeritus, has published 65 scholarly articles and chapters and co-authored an academic book. Her first poetry collection, Mixed Messages (Caitlin Press, 2002), followed a co-authored poetry book, Groping Our Way Beyond Grief (Thistle, Lapadat, Tilleczek, Transken & Baldwin, 2001). Her poems have been published in a number of literary and scholarly journals and anthologies. Judith is currently working on a climate fiction novel set in the near future. She has read from her novel-in-progress for a Federation of BC Writers Regional Spotlight and on Writers Radio. She is a member of the Federation of British Columbia Writers and The Writers’ Union of Canada, co-leads Salish Sea Writers, and is a former blogger at Dr Sock Writes Here.
