Biography

Kevin Craig writes award winning LGBTQ books for teens. They are also a playwright, poet, and memoirist. Their (preferred pronouns are they/them/their and sometimes he) young adult novels are; SUMMER ON FIRE, BURN BABY BURN BABY, HALF DEAD & FULLY BROKEN, PRIDE MUST BE A PLACE, THE CAMINO CLUB and BOOK OF DREAMS. THE CAMINO CLUB (Chicago Review Press, 2020), was the 2021 Silver Winner in the Independent Book Publishers Association’s Benjamin Franklin Awards. BOOK OF DREAMS is their most recent release, from DUET BOOKS, the LGBTQ+ YA imprint of Chicago Review Press. Kevin also writes contemporary adult fiction with young narrators ( SEBASTIAN’S POET and THE REASONS).

Kevin has had twelve short 10-minute plays produced for play festivals in and around Toronto, Ontario, where they live with their partner, Michael. Kevin has had short stories and nonfiction published internationally. Their memoir has appeared in the Globe & Mail, and they have recorded memoir for CBC Radio One. Kevin is a 5-time winner of the Muskoka Novel Marathon's Best Novel Award.
