BIO
Biography

Children’s Author Lana Button grew up in the tiny border town of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. She has a background in acting and is an Early Childhood Educator. Lana’s books have been highlighted in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Toronto Globe and Mail. She has received the Crystal Kite Award, the IBBY Outstanding Book for Children with Special Needs and Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Award. She has also been shortlisted for awards including The Blue Spruce, The Shining Willow, the Jean Throop IODE Award and the Rainforest of Reading. Her books have been recognized as Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Best Bets and Best Books of the Year. Her literary presentations about perseverance, empathy and anti-bullying have inspired children across Canada. Lana lives in Burlington, Ontario.
