Laura Bontje

Biography
Laura Bontje is a Canadian children's book author and a freelance fiction editor.
Her first book, Was It a Cat I Saw? (illustrated by Emma Lidia Squillari), was released in March 2024 from Amicus Ink. Her second, When the Air Sang (illustrated by Sarah Whang), will be released by Annick Press in April 2025.
Laura was raised in Calgary, Alberta, and now lives in London, Ontario.
