Peta-Gaye Nash is a Jamaican-Canadian author, podcast host (Heart to Art) and Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) workshop facilitator. She has two collections of short fiction, I Too Hear the Drums (2014) and the award winning Told Ya! Stories(2024) that earned acclaim from the prestigious Next Generation Indie Book Awards, the Independent Press Award and CanReads 2026. Peta-Gaye has also written seven children's books, including the award winning Bushyhead. Her Caribbean heritage inspires much of her work. In 2015, she won the Marty Awards for Emerging Literary Art and the Marty Awards for Established Literary Art in 2022. Peta-Gaye lives and works in Mississauga.
