Rosanna is a professional member of The Writers’ Union of Canada (TWUC), the Canadian Authors Association (CAA), the Association of Italian-Canadian Writers (AICW), the Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators, & Performers (CANSCAIP), the Toronto Romance Writers (TRW), and the Sudbury Writers’ Guild, her first group, of which she has been Past President for two years and a member since 1992. Rosanna has also held a position on the Wordstock Sudbury Literary Festival Board, the AICW Executive Committee, the Calabria Social Club Board of Directors, and the Culture & Education Committee of the Società Caruso Club. Over the years, she has mentored both teachers and emerging writers.
An alumna of Toronto’s Humber School for Writers, Rosanna has been published in over twenty anthologies and journals and has read at many conferences and literary events in Canada, New York, and Italy. Her novel, La Brigantessa (Inanna Publications, 2018), was awarded a 2019 Gold IPPY (Independent Publisher Book Award) for Historical Fiction, and was a finalist for both the CAA Fred Kerner Book Award and the Northern Lit Award in 2019. It also received an Honourable Mention at the 2024 Hollywood Book Festival, “celebrating books that deserve greater recognition from the film, television, and gaming industries” (Hollywood Book Festival website). Pigeon Soup & Other Stories (Inanna, 2021) was honoured as a finalist in the Fiction: Short Story category of the 2021 American BookFest Best Book Awards and the 2022 International Book Awards.
Rosanna has had six romance novels published with Harlequin/Mills & Boon (Harper Collins) and two children’s books published with Pajama Press. Her latest publications are Product of Italy, Made in Canada: An Immigrant’s Love Letter to Food, Family, and Resilience (Latitude 46 Publishing) and Co-Editor of Mum’s The Word, Unique stories that will surprise you.
