Biography

Stacey Chomiak (she/her) is an artist, author and LGBTQ+ speaker. She writes and illustrates kids books that represent the queer community. Her YA illustrated memoir STILL STACE: MY GAY CHRISTIAN COMING-OF-AGE STORY published in 2021. She illustrated RAINBOW BOY AND THE PRIDE PARADE, which is publishing May 2025 by Beaming Books. Stacey identifies as a gay Christian, and loves to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and have conversations around faith and sexuality. When she isn’t furiously sketching, Stacey is likely to be out for a bike ride, critiquing her favourite film, or encouraging her children to dance with her to Whitney Houston.
