Biography

Tamla T. Young, OCT, B.A. (Hons). B.Ed, M.Ed is an award-winning social justice educator, author, and multipotentialite. Essentially, she is a jill-of-all-trades who is on a journey to master at least one. For now, her focus is on writing for children.

 

Her debut picture book Ready, Set, Mango! released with OwlKids Books in April 2025. 

 

As a child of the Caribbean diaspora, raised in North America; memory and personal experience, rooted in family, friends and culture are often the seeds that her stories are born from. She loves making connections with others near and far, and through sharing stories the opportunity to connect increases exponentially.
