Vincent Durant
BIO
Biography

Vincent Durant is a freelance researcher who specializes in Canadian social, business and political history.  A graduate of Queen’s University, he had a long career at St. Lawrence College where he developed and taught a course on the early history of Kingston, ON.  A former journalist and editor, Vincent authored War Horse of Cumberland, a biography of Sir Charles Tupper, an early prime minister and close associate of Sir John A. Macdonald.  In recent years he carried out historical research for the City of Kingston, and volunteered as a tour guide at City Hall.
