On May 2, L. E. Carmichael will be celebrating the release of her 23rd children's science book, POLAR: WILDLIFE AT THE ENDS OF THE EARTH (Kids Can Press). With stunning illustrations by Byron Eggenschwiler, POLAR explores the adaptations that help animals survive in the harsh habitats of the Arctic and Antarctica.
