Alice Zorn lives in Montreal. Her collection of short fiction, Ruins & Relics (NeWest Press) was shortlisted for the 2009 Quebec Writers' Federation First Book Prize. Her novel, Five Roses (Dundurn Press), was a finalist for the 2017 Ontario Library Association Evergeen Award and translated into French as Le rosier de la Pointe (Marchand de feuilles). Her most recent novel, Colours in Her Hands (Freehand Books) was selected as the featured title for the 2025 One Book, One Community program in Athabasca. In 2026 she published a new collection of short fiction, Mind the Gap (NeWest Press). Her stories have appeared in literary magazines across Canada and won prizes, including the 2013 Manitoba Magazine Award for Fiction. She has been a recipient of grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
