Allen Morgan was born in New York City, on September 29, 1946. He is married to Leslie and has one son, Timothy. He obtained a BE.d. from the University of British Columbia in 1974. He became a Canadian citizen in 1973. He has been a children's book writer, storyteller, kindergarten teacher, aritst, camel consultant, territory guide, and member of the Lost Expedition. He has written 25 books for children and one for adults (under the name of Bonzai Yak).
