John Parr wass born in Chicago, June 18, 1928. He now lives in Winnipeg with his wife, Joan. He has two daughters, Kristin and Louise. He graduated from the University of Manitoba, and taught English for a number of years, most recently at Red River Community College. He is currently engaged in writing a novel and book reviewing.
