Canadian writer with Croatian heritage, Branko graduated radio-communications from the Electrotechnical Faculty in Zagreb with honors. His earliest stories appeared in the SF magazine SIRIUS when he was still a student. He was the owner of a small business, designing control circuits for industrial automation. Over a few years he established himself as a recognized author of SF stories, primarily of the technical sub-genre. During the eighties and early nineties his stories were regularly broadcast on Radio Zagreb, performed by the most popular actors at that time. He has also published stories in Germany, Czech Republic and Poland.
He came to Canada in 1991 and in different companies he designed several small autonomous control units that were successfully applied in industry. In Canada, he wrote the book about the status of engineers in the contemporary economy, several SF short stories, two mini-novels and his first large novel. In his two most recent novels he firmly established his hero who - contrary to the majority of the iconic heroes - is neither a famous detective nor an invincible warrior or the omnipotent Q but a humble boy with a violin.
Open-minded by nature, Branko likes constructive discussions of all kinds, enjoys listening to music and loves steampunk fantasy worlds.
He presently lives in Mississauga, Ontario.
