Laurie Anne Fuhr, Multimodal Poet, songwriting musician, and dabbler in fictions, is the author of night flying, published by Frontenac House press and shortlisted for the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry. Her poems also appear in Uncommon Grounds, the first anthology of the Espresso Poetry Collective, a women’s poetry workshopping group of which she is a founder. Her short story How to Make a Ghost Disappear won the AWCS QR Code Story Contest 2022. Laurie is a Poet in the Class and recitation judge with Poetry In Voice. She is also a member of the Writers Guild of Alberta, the League of Canadian Poets, and The Writers Union of Canada. Laurie loves teaching and mentoring aspiring poets, and taught poetry and songwriting at the Alexandra Writers Centre in Calgary for six years until 2024. She is ready to work with you one-on-one!
