
Nina Trifan is a Canadian writer based in Toronto, Ontario. She is the author of the novel "The Country That Lives Within Me" and the children's book "Where Do Ideas Come From?", both published by Univers (Editura Univers). Inspired by her own experience as an immigrant, her novel explores themes of identity and belonging. In "Where Do Ideas Come From?", Nina Trifan encourages children to explore their own creativity and imagination through the story of a curious hedgehog's quest to learn how ideas are born.
Nina holds two Bachelor's degrees from the University of Bucharest in Romanian and English Linguistics & Literature, as well as Communications & Public Relations. She also completed the Romanian-Canadian ROCA Executive MBA Program. In Canada, she obtained a Certificate in Advanced Marketing from the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA), and a Creative Writing Certificate from the University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies (SCS). Nina is fascinated by words, flamenco, and white-sand beaches. She lives in Toronto with her husband and son.
