Suzanne Bowness
BIO
Biography

With over 20 years of experience as a writer, editor, and journalist, I help clients create engaging and impactful content that connects with their audiences, boosts their authority, and builds their brand. I am the founder of CodeWord Communications (www.codeword.ca), a company that specializes in longform content, such as articles, blogs, newsletters, magazines, case studies, and website copy. I also teach part-time at Humber College, where I have contributed to the development and launch of the Professional Writing and Communications graduate certificate.

My passion is to uncover and tell the stories of how people and organizations make a difference in the world, whether it be translating complex research for a lay audience, sharing stories that create emotional connections with readers, or showcasing the achievements and impact of various initiatives and projects. I take a journalistic approach to content creation and strategy, digging to find the hidden stories, crafting compelling narratives, and delivering consistent and quality output. I have written for and worked with clients across various sectors and industries, including higher education, government, non-profit, small business, and media. Some of my clients include Carleton University, Algonquin College, CNIB, Ducks Unlimited, and the Globe and Mail.

Visit my portfolio at http://www.suzannebowness.com for some samples of my journalism, or http://www.codeword.ca for my copywriting business. I also offer coaching and workshops to writers and editors at www.feistyfreelancer.com
