Joelle Barron is an award-winning poet and writer living on the Traditional Territory of the Anishinaabe of Treaty 3 and the Métis people (Fort Frances, ON). Their first poetry collection, Ritual Lights (ice house press, 2018), was nominated for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award, and was a finalist for the Dayne Ogilvie Prize for Emerging LGBTQ Writers. Their second book, Excerpts From a Burned Letter, is forthcoming with Nightwood Editions in April 2024.
