I reside in Southern Ontario and I am a full professor at SUNY Empire State University in Buffalo, New York, where I teach History and Labour Studies. My current research focuses on labour and management in Canada and the United States from the 1940s to the 2000s. My latest book is Management and Labor Conflict: A North American History (Routledge, 2022). My fourth book is a popular history of work in Canada called Canada, A Working History (Dundurn, 2021). My third book is called Leading Progress the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada, 1920 – 2020 (Between the Lines, 2020). My second book is titled Making Managers in Canada, 1945 – 1995: Companies, Community Colleges, and Universities (Routledge, 2018). My first book -- Our Union: UAW/CAW Local 27 from 1950 to 1990 — came out several years ago (Athabasca University Press, 2011). I have a forthcoming books under contract with Routledge and University of Toronto Press.
