I’m pleased to share the publication of my 35th novel, Chatterton: A Self of My Own.

This work revisits the figure of Thomas Chatterton, imagining a seventeen-year-old who creates a second self—one that lives in another century and writes in an antique poetic voice. What begins as an act of private invention gradually presses outward, as the poems demand a readership and raise questions about authorship, authenticity, and the boundaries of the self.
