Join Eve Lazarus and the Vancouver Historical Society for the launch of Beneath Dark Waters: The Legacy of the Empress of Ireland Shipwreck at the Museum of Vancouver. Eve's talk will delve into the sinking of the CPR liner in the St. Lawrence River in 1914 and look at the human stories behind this tragic event that stands as the worst maritime disaster during peacetime in Canadian history and claimed more passenger lives than the Titanic.
