Donna Stewart was born in Wiarton, Ontario on the Bruce Peninsula. She holds a B.A. from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Education from The University of Western Ontario, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in technology-based learning from Athabasca University. Donna writes fiction and non-fiction and has published novels for young readers, adult fiction and poetry. Donna lives on the shores of Lake Huron after retiring from a career in public education and tourism. She is also pursuing fine arts. She finds that her ever changing view of the water and the power of Lake Huron can be either a distraction or an inspiration, depending on the day.
