Biography

Amber McMillan is the author of Inheritance (Gaspereau Press, 2027), This Is a Stickup (Wolsak & Wynn, 2022), The Running Trees (Goose Lane Editions, 2021), The Woods: A Year on Protection Island (Nightwood Editions, 2016), and We Can’t Ever Do This Again (Wolsak & Wynn, 2015). Her work has won or been shortlisted for the Montreal International Poetry Prize, the UBC/Penguin Random House Prize for Fiction, the Atlantic Book Awards, the New Brunswick Book Awards, and the Fred Cogswell Award for Excellence in Poetry. She lives in New Brunswick on the unsurrendered territory of the Mi’kmaq people.
