Shari Narine

Biography

Shari Narine is an award-winning journalist with over 30 years of experience. She is the author of a fiction novel, a (pending) non-fiction work, short stories and book reviews. She has had numerous articles published online, in newspapers, in magazines, and in newsletters. She has edited nonfiction for Harbour Publishing/Douglas & McIntyre. She has served on juries for publisher awards, short story awards and newspaper awards as well as been a manuscript evaluator and peer reviewer for TWUC. She has also taught creative writing and memoir writing classes. She resides in Edmonton although life has taken her to many places around the world, including volunteering for six months in a gender equity program in Kenya in 2024.
